Abstract:

“Over the past 70 years, (stochastic) control theory has played a key role in shaping research in economics and management science. Fields of application have been broad ranging from mathematical finance, inventory management, to capital budgeting. The presentation will provide a broad overview of this approach, including stressing related new applications pertaining to meanfield games, capital accumulation, and dynamic contract theory.”
