The ECR Community Shrink & OSA Group are launching their first ever study on the problem of inventory record inaccuracy.
This 2-year project has been conducted by Yacine Rekik, Professor of operations and supply chain management at emlyon business school, together with Professor Aris Syntetos, from Cardiff Business School’s Logistics and Operations Management section, and Professor Christoph Glock, TU Darmstadt.
The research aimed to answer three questions:
- To what extent are inventory records wrong?
- How does inventory record accuracy deteriorate over time?
- How does an improvement in inventory records affect sales?
- The webinar will explore the research objectives and findings in more detail, and importantly, propose a number of interventions that retailers and manufacturers could consider and act upon.
